So, we kinda really like wine. Hints the name of this little ol' blog. I blame the fact that we live in wine country. We're surrounded by some of the most beautiful wineries. If you're ever in Southern Illinois....check out our wineries. You won't be disappointed!
Ok, getting to the point...A friend of ours is getting married in a few weeks, so we're sharing our DIY Wine Gift with you. I saw these cute wine poems on Pinterest, but never could find a link that worked. Sooooo.....I went to google and did a little search. I found the sayings on a few websites and just picked out the phrases I liked the best from each of the versions. Then, I created some tags to hang on the bottles. The wine was all purchased at Wal-Mart and so was the canvas basket. Take a look...

DeleteWe are actually going to a wedding tomorrow for a couple that have both been married before as well as have college aged children. As the fourth bottle, I made a wine bottle with the couples name and date and put some sand and christmas lights in it with a bow. I did see a bottle of wine called "The Beach House." If I had seen that first, I would have used that for retirement.

DeleteEmily, I absolutely love this idea and I love your labels, but I am not very tech savy and can't create anything remotely like it on my own. I was wondering if you would be willing to create a few more labels for different occasions for me? I would like to do more: First Christmas, First Valentine's Day, First Baby, 5 year anniversary, Just Because, and Honeymoon. I would use what you already have for 1st Fight and 1st Anniversary....sooo cute! I have the poems already to go. If you would be willing to design the other 6 labels, I will send you the poems.
