Happy Friday!

Hey y'all! We're still here!  I know, I know, it's been like a month since you've heard from us.  We gave a little update on Facebook the other day about our recent happenings so make sure you're following along with us there too!

We don't have an awesome DIY project to show you today and we haven't made a ton of progress on the remodel just yet.  Just a video.  Of the Robertsons.  Heard of em'?

We aren't fanatics and we don't have rugs with their faces, or wine with their name on it. But, we do watch their show.

We started following them when they were just duck hunters.

Their shows were just about duck hunting.

They've come to be quite the phenomenon and they seem to be taking over the world one episode at a time.
It's about time a group of people with Southern values and manners and a Christian basis take over the world don't ya think?

Their fame isn't for twerking on national television or creating mass mayhem in the political world.

A friend of mine shared this video on Facebook and I watched and listened in awe of their realness.

So today, there will be no room reveals, no DIY projects, no remodel updates or baby gender reveals.

Just a video.

It's about 30 minutes long, so make sure you have time to watch the whole thing.  You won't be dissapointed.

Big Annoucement!

Yep, this mama's heart is melting.
Every. Single. Time. I look at this picture.

Did you see the title of this post?

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

I'm assuming you've figured it out by now... :)

Our sweet Baby Paisley won't be the baby anymore!
She's going to be a big sister!

Sometime near April 13th of next year, our little family of 3 will become a family of 4!

We thought we'd share a little of our story with you and let you know what we've really been up to.

PLUS SIGN:  Soooo,  around the beginning of August I got the big plus sign on the pee stick! haha!  I was beyond excited, but I'd by a lying fool if I didn't admit I was nervous.  See, Paisley took awhile but this one, this one wasn't messin' around.  We were ready for number two, but we really did assume it would be several months before we saw that plus sign based on our experience with Paisley!  This early plus sign and April due date means we'll be having baby number 2 and Paisley will turn the big TWO all in the same month!

Whew.....that's exhausting just thinking about it...

DRAINED:  I'd also like to take this time to totally, 100% blame my lack of projects and blogging on this cute little lemon-sized bean growing in my belly.  I've been sick from sun-up to sun-down and drop-dead tired.  I was the same way with Paisley, but didn't deal with the all day nauseousness like I am with this one.  It's takin' it's toll y'all! I was sick until about 18 weeks with Paisley so if we follow the same pattern, I've got a few more weeks of this.  I'm also showing WAY sooner than I was with Paisley which meant at like week 12 I was searching for my maternity jeans!

NAMES:  No flipping clue.  With Pais, we knew from the beginning what names we would use.  This time, we got nothin'.  We've discussed a few names but none of them are the one.  I don't like names that remind me of something or someone else, and Charlie's a cop so he has this "it can't be the same name as someone I've arrested" rule.   Hopefully we get that sorted out before next April.

Ya, we're doomed.

Any suggestions???

GENDER:  I'm really impatient.  The thought of waiting like 40 more days (yep, I've counted) to find out, is literally draining any life I have left right out of me!  Ok, so that's a little dramatic.  But I really hate waiting.  We actually paid for a 4D ultrasound at 16 weeks to find out about Paisley.  I have a good excuse though.  We're "Black Friday" people.  Yes, we're those people.  We do it up real big in Nashville every year!  The thought of not snagging up those awesome deals for our new arrival was just not an option.  If we didn't get the ultrasound, we wouldn't have found out until a few weeks after Thanksgiving.  We will find out the week of Thanksgiving this time, so I have no valid excuse to pay the money and find out early.  I'm trying to come up with something though...shhhh...

BIG CHANGES:  Don't worry y'all!  We'll be back to DIY'ing ourselves to death here pretty soon.  Remember the other day when we told you about the big changes coming for our master bedroom?  Well, that's because that master bedroom will become a nursery very soon.  That means our garage is being remodeled (big time) into a new Master Bedroom with walk in closet and en-suite bathroom!  Holla!  Finally two bathrooms!  We'll share more in depth details and before photo's soon!

Perspective of MR. Bonfires & Wine....

Jeez, my wife is long winded for always being out of breath. Well it's true, we are having another set of boots by the back door. I tell ya what, I couldn't be more pumped.  We are more of a DIY blog, but I figured I'd actually share a little emotion of what is going through my scrambled mind.  I'll never forget when Emily told me we were going to have another baby.  Maybe because I was actually awake when she told me.  When the pee stick turned to a plus for Paisley I was about 40 minutes into sleep after working 12 hours of the midnight shift.  <Insert Zombie face.>  We were so excited to be parents and had been waiting and trying for so long... Now, to my story of what it is to be a Dad.

Paisley: I remember when we went in to get the 4d ultrasound done to find out the sex of the baby, all I could think was how bad I wanted a boy. Selfish? Yea, but I'm speaking the truth when I think all guys want to have a boy. I soon learned how to buy dresses, bows and everything that a girl needs.  The months leading up to her being born I went through what I'm sure most Dads to be do...am I going to be a good Dad? how can I always protect her? and so on. Then the magical day happened....For those of you that have witnessed birth you soon find out how, at that very moment you are closer to God then you have ever been.  When Paisley was born she did not cry and right there I knew she was going to be tough as nails. As my little girl was laid on the table to be cleaned off she did not want to cry or fuss but she wanted to look out the window and see the beautiful spring sky....skip ahead a few months. I was then hurt at work and all I could think about was how I was not going to be the super dad to my little girl.  How can a banged up guy do everything that a Dad should do.  Over the past few months Paisley has taught me more about being a good Dad then I could ever have imagined.  She stays at the house with me 3-4 days a week and her Nana requests that she gets to watch her the other 2 days.  Now when I talk about having a best friend, other then my number 1 best friend my wife, I talk about Paisley.  There is no where that this little girl hasn't been with me. To the hardware store, to the farm, on the 4-wheeler..everywhere!! She even shows things to me daily that she can do better than most boys her age do.  Taking care of the chickens, no problem, work on things in the garage, no sweat.  Hell, she falls down sometimes and doesn't shed a tear, a fall that I've seen grown men cry over.  Paisley Joyce Eisert.......You make me a very proud Dad.

Emily:  She is the strongest woman that I know.  While Emily was pregnant with Paisley she had most of the symptoms that pregnant ladies go through. Morning sickness, sleepy, high blood pressure at the end...and so on.  It seemed like the unknown of being pregnant for the first time helped speed the process up for her.
Now, I know all guys think that their wife is the best and strongest person they know.  But since this is our blog and I can say what I want, my wife kicks ass!!! She is a champion, she makes UFC fighters look like school girls.... she wakes up every morning and stares pregnancy in the face.  Shortly thereafter she starts to get nauseated. She goes to stand up to head to the bathroom, and pop....there goes a hip.  Crack....there goes sciatic nerve (paralyzing). Bang...there goes Emily bouncing off the bedroom wall from not being able to walk/run quite right to the bathroom.  And I'm all sure you know what happens next. Now, just repeat all of that all day long.  Emily, you show me everyday what it is to be the best parent in the world... I love you.

New Baby: I was recently talking to a buddy who has a couple children, about us having another baby.  I told him I had been thinking a lot about this new baby coming and I'm not sure how I can love another child as much as I do Paisley..He just smiled and said you'll see!!! Now when people ask me what do you want this baby to be I can honestly say, I really don't care either way, because I have a girl that has proved to me she can do anything.....and I'm hoping that super strong wife I was talking about earlier will want to have another one if this one is a girl again. I am super excited that we will get to experience another baby being brought into our life.  It truly does change you as a person.  I just hope that I can be the best Dad to my children that I can be....and that one day I can wear a cape to a hardware store with both of my rug-rats.

Home Tour - Master Bedroom

Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week!  Today, we're showing you a little more of our house tour, starting with the Master Bedroom!

So, come on in!...

We decided to buy new bedding last year and we ended up finding this set at Macy's.  We took the pillow into our local hardware store and matched the paint perfectly.  We ended up liking the color soooo much, that we used it in our laundry room, too!

We used some old windows to sort of frame the bed.

While shopping in St. Louis one day, we stopped in a Burlington Coat Factory and just happened to come across these curtains which were the same brand as our bedding.  They matched the throw pillow perfectly and they were crazy cheap!

The headboard is a "Charlie Custom", made from old barnwood. of course. :)

You can check out how Charlie turned old lanterns into bedside lamps HERE.  Plus a tutorial for the Mr. and Mrs. Signs HERE

Charlie also made these awesome window boxes out of some old barnwood.  I love how it transformed the look of the windows.  Plus, it was a pretty simple and FREE transformation!

Of course, there's a small gallery wall.  I bought letters from Hobby Lobby and covered them with different colors of scrapbook paper.  All of the frames and signs are also from Hobby Lobby.

Overall, I like our room.
But, just "like".
Not "love".
I feel like it's unfinished.
It's always been neglected compared to the other rooms of the house.

I do love our bedding, the windows and paint color.  It's just the rest of the space that feels unfinished.

HOWEVER,  that's about to change.
In a really big way.
BIG TRANSFORMATION.
More on that to come soon.
So, stay tuned...

FREE Fall & Halloween Printables

Hey y'all!  Long time, no see right?  Things are hectic around these parts.  We were excited about October because we didn't have a lot of plans.  Then October came and is seems like every weekend is filled up again.  People are so busy these days, it's important to find some down time somehow.  So, that's what we've been trying to do any chance we can.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm not complaining about being busy.  When our weekends are full, it just means we're busy celebrating or enjoying time with our family and friends and that just makes us grateful.  But, those moments we aren't at birthdays or weddings or get togethers, we've spent relaxing as a family.  Not a whole lot of DIY happening.  But, of course that's about to change.  There's some big projects in the works around here and we can't wait to share more with you guys.  We also get to help my cousin move into a new home this weekend and we're excited about helping decorate a blank canvas!

Did you check out the Fall Party last week?  If not, make sure you do.  You can see it HERE.  To everyone who joined us - thank you so much!  It was a huge success and so much fun!  Hopefully we'll have more of these fun parties in the future!

Remember our big Year of Printables post from last year?  We have some really cute Halloween and Fall printables and they're FREE.  Woop Woop!

Get your FREE copies HERE!

That's all for today.  I'm off to chase my 17 month old.  I swear that child went from learning to walk to sprinting in a day.

Stop by later in the week.  The plan is to show y'all a little more of our home tour on Friday, starting with the master bedroom.  That is, if I'm not too tired from the above mentioned chase. :)

Don't miss out! Follow along!

Fall Progressive Dinner by 7 Fabulous Bloggers!

Happy Monday y'all!  I am so excited about today's post!  I've teamed up with my 6 favorite blogging ladies to bring you a "Fall Progressive Dinner"!
And, YOU are invited! :)

Start at the top and work your way down to dessert!  By the time you're finished you'll have an entire Fall Dinner Party planned out!  From the table decor, to main course, to dessert, we've got you covered!

Natalie, AKA the Busy Budgeting Mama is as talented as they come.  She created these beautiful printables for my Fall Tablescape.  And, the best part?
THEY'RE FREE!
Make sure you stop by and download these for your table!

Now, let's get started by finding our seats!...

The place cards that Natalie created are so cute and they can be used for food labels too!

I used PicMonkey to personalize all of Natalie's Printables.  This menu card adds so much detail and color to the table!

Now, for the rest of the table.

I bought a pretty white pumpkin and planted a bright yellow mum right inside of it!

A big chevron bow helped finish off the look!

The glittery pine cones were purchased from Wal-Mart and they were only a few dollars for the whole package.

Now, for the fun part!  Where in the world do you put the kids?  Definitely not at this pretty table full of glassware and lit candles, right??

They need a cute little personalized table of their own!  You can literally throw this kids table together in minutes.

I used brown kraft wrapping paper as a tablecloth.
I bought it at Dollar Tree for $1 per roll!

These treat bag tags are also part of Natalie's FREE PRINTABLE PACKAGE!

A few pumpkins and some crayons make for a very simple centerpiece!

The place mats are coloring pages!  Which means, while they wait for dinner or when they're finished, the kids can spend time coloring!
Plus, the table cloth is crayon friendly, too! :)

What do you think!?

I am loving the fun fall colors and the mix of chevron!

Are you hosting a Fall get-together soon?

Make sure you stop by all the other sites and finish up your planning!

Next up:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have an awesome week!

Brie's Rustic Wedding {Burlap & Lace}

***(Update: if you've found this post because of the Thank You card on the table and you'd like to get your free printable file, click HERE! )

I've only been talking about this wedding FOREVER, right?  Well, it finally happened!  This past Saturday was Brie's big day and I must say she was downright beautiful and everything went great!

We literally DIY'd our happy little selves through this entire thing.  For the past year everyone who knew Brie was saving jars.  Salsa jars.  Spaghetti sauce jars.  Pickle jars.  Baby food jars.  All jars were being saved.

We made all of her bouquets, corsages and boutineers.  Every table centerpiece and all of the head table decor.  Backdrops, signs and personalized guest book.  Even her garter and head piece were DIY'd.  Like, EVERYTHING!!!

This saved Brie a ton of money, plus we really got to create exactly what she wanted.

WARNING:  If you aren't in the mood to look at a few gazillion pics, you should just close your browser now.  I may or may not have gone a little photo crazy.
Even if some of them are with my phone because I left my camera at home.
(stupid. stupid. stupid.)

We went simple with the ceremony.  Just some purple pom pom balls and big burlap bows with baby's breath.

A sweet shot of the beautiful couple right after the wedding.

We used a beautiful ivory lace that had a little stretch to it for her DIY Garter.  We measured her leg and had my grandma sew it together.  We bought some fabric flowers in the scrapbooking department at Hobby Lobby and hot glued them onto the lace.  I just love how beautiful and classy they turned out!

Now for the centerpieces.  We used jars, wine bottles and baby food jars.  All were wrapped with a mixture of burlap, lace and jute.  One jar on each table had an engagement picture printed on vellum mod podged to it.  Then, we lit candles inside making the photo glow.

I created these "thank you" cards  and menu cards using Picmonkey and we printed them on brown kraft paper.

(Get your free thank you card printable file here!)

(Get your free thank you card printable file here!)

We used more burlap and lace as a backdrop for the head table.  Plus signs with the Bride and Groom names.

I used some burlap to make a Mr. & Mrs. sign for the head table.

Brie used all of the engagement photo's that I took and created an awesome personalized guest book online.  She also had wine bottles setup and note cards for people to leave them messages in for them to read on their anniversaries.

Cue bad iphone photo's here...

We had so much fun prepping for this wedding and I hope it was all Brie could have ever dreamed of.  She was absolutely stunning!  Tim sure is a lucky guy! ;)

Are any of y'all planning a wedding right now?

Are you DIY'ing it all too?

We'd love to see some photo's!
